Email for Forgotten Password not sent

Admidio Version 3.2.14

As admin, I created a new user, and filled in all appropriate fields.
Then Logged out.

Using the Forgotten Password link, I entered the new users email address and the Authenication code. The system says that the password is sent, but no email ever arrives.

However, ( if as admin, ) I update the new users profile, and add a username to the profile. The Log out.

Then the new user can use forgotten Forgotten Password link and get an email with the Password Activiation Link, and update their profile as necessary.

Question. Should it be necessary to have the 'username' in the profile for the Forgotten Password to work, as the webpage says either 'username' or 'email address' can be used?

Yes of course. You need a username to send a password otherwise you have no valid login. How should the user login with a password and no username?

The system gives you no feedback if username is invalid for security reasons. So noone could try to get valid usernames out of your database.
