Adding Modules to the homepage

I would like the home page to display the announcement module and the photos module. Is that possible?

Do you mean only two links or really two modules with their complete functionality?

If you look at the image shown in post, you will see you can make a post :

Inactive
Active
For logged in users only.

This way you can specify if a module should be shown or not shown.
