Language File Problem? (Solved)

I am getting hash marks in the text on all of my pages.

Example:

Downloads

#DOW_CREATE_FOLDER# #DOW_CREATE_FOLDER#
#DOW_UPLOAD_FILE# #DOW_UPLOAD_FILE#
#SYS_MORE_FEATURES#

Folder / #DOW_FILE_TYPE# Name #SYS_DATE_MODIFIED# #SYS_SIZE# #DOW_COUNTER# #SYS_FEATURES#
#DOW_FOLDER_NO_FILES#

I installed Admidio in the root directory (/public_html) of the website, not the sub directory (/public_html/admidio). Must it be in a sub directory? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Memory limit: 256M

File uploads: On

max. processable image size: 35.79 Megapixels

All PHP settings: phpinfo()

Debug modus: Off

Hi vernsouthern,

Admidio creates an own root path while installation. It also works in sub folders.
The hash marks are constants for the language expressions contained in language files.

Do you have the en.xml in your language root folder?
Please check the language setting in your organization settings.
Maybe be the browser cache is the problem?

I found a solution, not quite sure why it worked.

In the tab "Organisation and regional preferences", In Website:, I changed http://childfreelovers.com to http://childfreelovers.com/

The ending forward slash seems to have fixed the problem. I guess it a server thing.
