We want to start the Beta-Test for version 3.1 now and hope you can help us to find the last bugs and review all of the changes we made to the software.
Some of the major enhancements in this version:
#### PHP7 compatibility
This is one of the main reasons for this release. Since PHP7 was released at the end of November and Admidio 3.0 is not compatible we want to release a compatible version as soon as possible. So with Admidio 3.1 you can use PHP7 and we don't have change the minimum requirements. You can still use PHP 5.3.
#### Security improvements
With this release we have added some security related enhancements.
- Passwords are no encoded and stored in the database with the bcrypt algorithm
- check session ip address to prevent session hijacking
- don't show specific error message if password is wrong. always show error message username or password wrong to prevent evil users for scaning valid usernames
- refresh auto login id on every script call
- create a more unique and secure id
- delete all auto login from user if count of invalid auto login > 3
- Always give positive feedback when requesting a new password to prevent evil users for scaning valid email addresses
#### Further integration of 3.0 features
We have continue to integrate the new features that we introduce with 3.0.
- Upload files with the new file upload dialog in download module
- New authorization dialog in download module
- New dialog for MyLists
- Bootstrap print view in events module
- and much more ...
The minimum requirements are the same as of Admidio 3.0:

*MySQL 5.0.3*
*Flash not required anymore* ☺

If you have a local test version of your installation then you can support us if you download the new version and try an update so we can check if all works fine with your configuration.

**Please remember that this is a Beta-Version that is not intended for a productive enviroment. It could contain errors and could lead to data loss!**
If you don’t have a local test area then you can use our playground to have a look at the new version. But remember that there are several people who could change settings or add and remove data.

Within this bugfix release we have fixed the warning in the event module and some improvements to the recepient selectbox of the messages module.

But within this PHP version some functions that we use in Admidio were removed. Because of this the actual Admidio version 3.0 won't work with PHP7.
We know this issue and have worked to fix this problem. The actual developement version fully supports PHP7. So that you can also use PHP7 we want to start the Beta testing after Christmas and maybe release Admidio 3.1 in February. Until this date we recommend to use a version of PHP5.

Gestern wurde PHP7 veröffentlicht. Dies ist ein großer Schritt für PHP vor allem wegen einer deutlichen Geschwindigkeitssteigerung in der Verarbeitung von Anfragen.
Allerdings sind innerhalb dieser PHP-Version einige Funktionen entfernt worden, die wir in Admidio nutzen. Aus diesem Grund funktioniert die aktuelle Admidio Version 3.0 nicht mit PHP7.
Wir kennen dieses Problem und haben in den letzten Monaten daran gearbeitet, um dieses Problem zu beheben. Die aktuelle Entwicklungsversion unterstützt PHP7. Damit du nun auch relativ schnell PHP7 verwenden kannst, wollen wir mit dem Beta-Test nach Weihnachten beginnen und vielleicht können wir dann Admidio 3.1 im Februar veröffentlichen. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt empfehlen wir euch weiterhin PHP5 zu verwenden.

If you have some time and want to help us to get some informations about server settings at different hosters than we invite you to download the little zip file, unzip and copy the complete [b]api[/b] folder to your webserver. This script doesn't have any bad code. Its simply a small html page that will say [b]OK[/b] if you run it. There is another little script called [i]htaccess[/i] which will set a server setting that will redirect all calls within the api folder to these little html page. Please follow the 4 steps that are described in the [b]readme.txt[/b].
If you put the [b]api[/b] folder in a subdirectory you have to add another line in the [b].htaccess[/b] file.

The old version had several problems with this PHP version as you might see in the registration process.
If you find problems or regressions compared to the old version please let us know in this forum.
Our second bugfix release of version 3.0. We recommend everone to update their 3.0 installation with this version.
