Sharing contact fields with specific roles

In our membership database we have fields for "Emergency Contact Person" and "Emergency Contact Number"

These are hidden from the general profile. I have a role called "Trip Leader" and I want that role to be able to see this information. Is there a way to do this?

When I hover over the eye icon on the Profile Fields page, the tooltip says "Field Viewable for Authorized Members only (own profile & role rights)"

How do I grant this permission to the Trip Leader role without granting rights to the entire membership?

Categories of profile fields can be assigned to roles. So if you create a new category for these profile fields and assign these profile fields to the new category. Now time you roll to the new category and only people of this Röhl can view a specific fields.

Ah, thank you. So for anyone else trying to figure this out - the instructions would be:

Contacts-->Edit Profile Fields-->Edit Categories
then edit the category that I want to add permissions to (e.g. "Trip Leader") and add Trip Leader to the "Visible For" box

Click Save.

Hmm. I just tried the process I outlined and it does not seem to work - the Trip Leader role still cannot see the Emergency Contact information on a Configuration LIst for an event.
