Admidio 3.0 Beta 4 released
Here is the 4. beta version of Admidio 3.0. We have done a lot of bugfixes since Beta 3, so we decided to release a new Beta.
As before please try to install this beta to your local server or try to update a TEST environment of your Admidio installation. Please have a look at our [update documentation from version 2 to version 3](http://www.admidio.org/dokuwiki/doku.ph ... .x_auf_3.x).
And of course many thanks to all of you who help us to get a stable version 3.0 of Admidio. Due to the integration of Bootstrap we have rewritten more than 90% of the Admidio output and this is one of the reasons why you will find so many bugs. There was never a version before where we changed so much.
Some of the major enhancements:
Bootstrap integration
This is the main enhancement in this release. We have fully integrated the Bootstrap framework. Therefore all Html and CSS have been rewritten.
- easier customizing of your individual theme
- mobile layout for better integration on smartphones and pads
- modern flexible html and css layout
New Message module
Admidio contains a new module which could be used to send emails, private messages or use a simple chat module.
- emails could be send to multiple users or roles
- private messages could be send to other registered users
- a simple chat module is integrated
- emails and private messages will be saved in database
Advanced update and installation script
We have improved the installation and update prozess to make it easier and less error-prone for users to install or update Admidio.
- no separate installation folder adm_install that must be removed after installation/update. You can just update your installation and work with it.
- Configuration file will be created and saved automatically through installation prozess
- Update could be continued if it there was an error and the error could be solved.
More flexible lists and tables
We have integrated a new plugin for tables. With this plugin there are now several new features for every table / list in Admidio.
- Full text search in every table
- Sort the table after values of one or more columns ascending or descending
- Select number of records you want to see with a flexible page navigation
By the way we have new requirements for the server software. Admidio 3.0 needs the following software versions (or higher)
PHP 5.3.7 (before 5.2.0)
MySQL 5.0.3 (before 4.1.1)
HTML 5(before XHTML 1.0)

After 2 weeks of tests (thanks to all of you who help us) and 58 bugfix commits we release the second Beta of Admidio 3.0.
With this Beta we want to set the test focus to the installaton/update and the mobile handling. Please download this version and try to do a new installation on your local server. If there is anything within this installation process that doesn't fit, please let us know. You should also try to update a TEST environment of your Admidio installation. Please have a look at our update documentation from version 2 to version 3.
Try our version with your smartphone or pad. Does everthing (except tables and ckeditor) fit or are there some texts that doesn't fit to the screen?

Es hat noch einen Fehler im Mailbereich gegeben. Beim Versand von Mails an eine Rolle mit nur 1 Mitglied ist diese Mail nicht versendet werden.
Jeder der die 2.4.11 oder 2.4.12 installiert hat, sollte dringend auf die 2.4.13 aktualisieren.
Versionen davor sind nicht von den Mailproblemen betroffen.

Leider hat sich in Version 2.4.11 ein Fehler beim Versand von Systembenachrichtigungen und Emails eingeschlichen.
Es war nicht mehr möglich Emails zu versenden oder Daten in Dialogen zu speichern, die später eine Systembenachrichtigung versendet haben.

Sourcecodeverwaltung auf Git(Hub) umgestellt
Wir haben die Sourecodeverwaltung von Subversion auf Git umgestellt.
Bisher haben wir auf Sourceforge unseren Sourcecode über Subversion verwaltet. Dies haben wir vor gut einem Monat auf GitHub und somit auf die Versionsverwaltung Git umgestellt. Ihr findet den Code dort unter https://github.com/Admidio/admidio.
Eine Dokumentation, welche Regeln wir dort anwenden wollen und wie die verschiedenen Versionen verwaltet werden sollen, findet ihr im Dokuwiki. Momentan müssen wir uns selber erst einmal ein bischen umstellen und probieren die neuen Möglichkeiten von GitHub aus. Mit dem Release der Version 3.0 (in ein paar Monaten) sollen dann diese neuen Regeln verbindlich sein.
Mit dem Umstieg auf GitHub erhoffen wir uns einen leichteren Einstieg in die Entwicklung bei Admidio. Für neue Entwickler ist es über GitHub wesentlich einfacher den Sourcecode herunterzuladen und selber Änderungen vorzunehmen, ohne dass hierfür direkt Schreibzugriffe in unserem offiziellen Repository notwendig sind.

Neues Plugin Form-Filler
Dieses Plugin für Admidio ermöglicht es, PDF-Formulare mit den Profildaten und dem Profilbild von Mitgliedern zu befüllen.
Dabei kann FormFiller sowohl eine einzelnes PDF-Dokument (basierend auf den Profildaten eines Mitglieds) als auch Mehrfachdokumente (basierend auf einer in Admidio erstellten Liste) erstellen. Die Erzeugung von Etiketten ist ebenfalls möglich.
Ihr könnt das Plugin in unserem Plugin-Bereich finden und herunterladen.
