Installation

This page describes the steps that must be performed to install Admidio on your server.

1. Download Admidio from this page on your computer and unzip the zip file with an appropriate program.
2. Create a folder admidio on your webspace and copy the contents of the unzipped folder to the folder you created.
3. Now call the install script on the web space at the following URL www.your-domain.org/admidio/adm_install/installation.php
4. Following the instructions in the installation script and give all the necessary information in the appropriate forms.
5. Think of the generated config.php file to be copied into the Admidio folder. Without the data from this file Admidio can not connect to the database.
6. Once the database has been successfully installed, you should change with a FTP program the folder permissions from the folder adm_my_files to 777 so Admidio has the necessary write permissions to save photos, download files and backups in this folder.
7. Finally, the folder adm_install should now be deleted.

Once these steps are performed, Admidio is already successfully installed and you can login with your user.
